The Story

Quarterra is a leading nationwide real estate development and investment platform focused on creating elevated living experiences through thoughtful design, hospitality, and community-driven development.

The corporate team sought to rework the company’s image and identity in anticipation of a pending acquisition. At the same time, the business was shifting from multifamily management toward investment and development of multifamily properties, creating a need to reposition the company’s messaging and overall brand.

The Assignment

The team approached us to rebuild the identity system from the ground up, developing a refined visual language, positioning strategy, typography, color system, and branded applications that better reflect the maturity, scale, and future direction of the company.

The Concept

At Quarterra, quality is built through structure, consistency, and disciplined execution. The identity system reflects this philosophy through modern architectural lines, modular compositions, and repeatable graphic patterns that symbolize the company’s proven development process at scale. Rooted in clarity and restraint, the brand balances institutional strength with a human-centered approach to create multifamily communities that feel enduring, accessible, and thoughtfully designed.

The Results

In January, global investment firm TPG acquired a majority controlling interest in the Quarterra platform with the goal of expanding attainable, high-quality rental options across the US. Original parent company Lennar retained a minority stake.

The new brand was successfully rolled out across corporate communications, presentation decks, marketing materials, the website, and environmental graphics at the company’s headquarters. Alongside the rollout, we developed a robust set of brand identity guidelines, including updated voice and tone positioning, and launched a new website.
