BRIO

The Story

The BRIO system, created by Applaud Medical, is a revolutionary medical technology used to treat and break up urinary stones. It utilizes calcium-seeking micro-bubbles and ultrasound energy to erode the stones with minimal tissue damage. We were tasked by Bloom Creative to design a new brand identity for BRIO, aiming to differentiate it from its competition.

The Concept

Drawing inspiration from other industries, specifically industrial and product design, as well as Scandinavian minimalism, we established an elevated brand image within the market sector. The logo mark concept centers around the idea of the negative and positive attraction between the micro-bubbles and the calcium in the stones, which is central to how the technology works.

Results

Applaud successfully launched the new BRIO identity, complete with a full brand style guide, corporate decks, collateral, and other materials, which received great internal and external reception. The company is currently undergoing medical trials and is aiming to enter the market in the latter part of 2024.
